It is no accident that Austin has made the city of San Francisco the center of his passion for music and societal change. Beginning in 2016 with a long term management position at Music City San Francisco, Austin began to see the potential of working with private and non-profit organizations alike in the effort to revitalize the magic of music and music communities in San Francisco.
As of late, he has partnered with government organizations like SF Parks Alliance & SF Rec & Park and nonprofits like Illuminate the Arts & Big Leap Collective to host his own festivals and free community shows. In addition to being highly enjoyable community celebrations, these events also serve as a broader representation of the potential for a new kind of music scene in San Francisco.
Well versed in the legacy of San Francisco as a bedrock of societal change, Austin sees the potential for huge subsidizations of art and music scenes in the most expensive city in the world. In working with organizations primer event production organizations from both the private and public sector, while preforming numerous gigs across the city for various neighborhood associations, he has positioned himself in the middle of several organizations to act as a conduit between city funding and the local indie music scene.
